Day Two of THE DIET and Things I Want, Love and Random Things I Want To Do With My Life.

Day two went.....well...kinda ok.  I was under my calorie goal, and as you will remember from yesterday's post, I worked out with Jillian in the morning.

I saved up all my calories during the day for a lil' shindig we had at school {Where there would be pizza}.  I had two pieces, resulting in about 500 calories.  OUCH.

But, it didn't sustain me.  {Go figure}

So, at 11 pm as I was making sugar cookies, I got hungry.

I went to my calorie calculator to see how many I had left........Not enough for a couple chicken nuggets, Or Ramen {not even CLOSE!}, or a roll.....so, since it was late, and we have not a lot in the house, I settled for tuna...and a pickle. Sigh.  I couldn't even have a cookie! --You need to be proud that I exercised some self control!

After only two days, I am angry with the world.

I want to eat.  It's making me grumpy.  And I am SO HUNGRY!!!!!

I WANT TO QUIT!  Who needs dieting anyway?

BUT!  I have promised myself I would do this.  And a promise is a promise, so,

I will keep this up for 30 days, oh yes I will.

And I'll still need to maintain that weight, but I figure I'll supplement a few extra calories with more cardio.

But seriously, Life is too short to not enjoy food!

Don't get me wrong, I love healthy food.  I love veggies and fruit and fish and whole grains.

But there are some days when it should be ok to eat and ENTIRE Cafe Rio Burrito- and not feel guilty.

Or spaghetti, or Pot Pie, or Enchiladas, Or even the dreaded mac and cheese.

or all of them.

And now I'm getting hungry again.

If you have some recommendations for food that is ridiculously low in calories, tasty and cheap, let me know.

Grumble Grumble Grumble.

And now I need something Happy.

Let's start off with things I like/need  {Because if I want it, I need it}

Old School Straw Dispensers

They're just cute.

A Toaster Oven

Yes, a red one.
There just Happens to be one on our registry.
Hint Hint.  ;)

A cute Galvanized bucket so I can grow more herbs.

Seven For All Mankind Jeans

I bet in a month, my cute new tushy would look good in them.
Too bad they're $200

Aprons- Cute ones

So cute. So feminine. So Stepford.
I have 3 already.  Do I wear them?  Not really.
But I sure like to look at them!

Day one of THE DIET, and Photo Adventure Thursday!

Day One......

Well, if you didn't read my post yesterday, I am on an official diet ant workout plan.  Yep, yessiree, I have ONE MONTH to be the size I want to be for my wedding.  And that is a scary deal.

I forgot to tell you about the most amazing app ever!  My Fitness Pal.  You put in your weight and stuff, and tell it how much you want to lose, and it tells you how many calories you can have per-day and how many calories to burn.

THEN!

You put in what you eat, and it tells you how many calories there are, and how many you have left.

GENIUS.
and even better, its free.

It even has plans if you want to just maintain your current weight.

So I have become a calorie counter.

I'm not proud of it.

But yesterday, I ended up UNDER my calories AND fat AND carbs for the day, and I felt pretty snazzy about that.

But then......

Hunger set in.
Oh it did, yes it did.

And now I'm angry with the world.

Everywhere I go, I see people eating chips, doughnuts. french fries...

And normal stuff too, but I can't have it.  And that sucks.

So, I decided to do my Jillian Michaels DVD last night, "No More Trouble Zones"

And guess what?

I made it a WHOLE 17 MINUTES.

OH THE AGONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't just sweat buckets,
I sweat MOUNTAINS of buckets!

It was torture, I tell you!

That woman is a witch.  Just a plain witch.

So, to make a long story short, I almost died.  For Real.

Am I being dramatic?  Well, yeah
But also HONEST!

it took me about 2 hours to stop feeling like I was going to throw up.
No Joke.

And then the thought entered my mind that I probably shouldn't have eaten right before.....

Yeah, that might have something to do with it.

So, I woke up and finished it, no problem.

{Ok, it was pretty hard, but I did it!}

And I've learned that I need better coordination.

So, hopefully the rest of the days are better.

And Now On To Photos.

I haven't shot anything recently, {besides Zions}  but I thought I'd throw in a few of my favorite springy photos.  Just for fun.

This Time It's On. F'Real.

As we all know, I'm not the best exerciser.  I complain a lot.... I whine a lot...... and then I am too lazy to exercise.  I have, however, been eating better for the past week- a super healthy breakfast and lunch, and a normal dinner.  I'm actually feeling pretty good.  Then, I've been stretching my back, which is helping too.  But still, I'm not really exercising like I promised I would.

And then I got a phone call.

A dreaded phone call.

I started to sweat, and adrenaline ran through my entire body.  Seriously.

"Danielle, I'm calling to let you know your wedding dress has come in"

What I said on the outside was, "Gulp"

What I said on the inside was,  "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh crap!"

And so now, its on.

Due to the fact that it needs alterations, I have to be THE SIZE in ONE MONTH'S time.

OH NO!

So, Tonight I plan on doing this:

And I may decide to purchase this:

Or any of these:

Because, let's face it- Jillian Michaels is Terrifying.
 TERRIFYING.
I'll do anything she says, because I think she's scary enough to reach through the TV and physically hurt me - and not just through the workout.  I think she's a witch.......

Also,
I am taking Acai vitamins.  I did this about six months ago, and I seriously lost 7 pounds in a week.  I kinda think most of it was water, but still!  They definitely give you energy.

And, I realized something today.  It's a crying shame too.
This, this lil' beauty is my addiction:

But from the fountain.
I have a 32 oz one every day  (i know, i know)
and today I found out that it has 400 calories! Ouch!
{That's probably why I'm not losing weight.....}

So, today I tried this:

I am beyond not satisfied.

But, it has 0 calories.

I thought about Powerade, but it has 125, sadly.  I love Powerade.

I guess i'll have to switch to vitamin water.  That'll have to do.

vitamin water has no calories, right?

Or propel.....

Sigh.

Being skinny better be worth it!

Well, ok, I guess it will be.

My dress kinda looks like this.  Only with fewer gathers and no black. Oh, and it's ivory, not white.

And yes, the back has buttons!  I am thoroughly excited!  My mama says it makes my bottom look sassy. lol.
{Don't worry, Nick saw already on the account that I can't keep secrets and am not superstitious anyway}

We're adding a halter top, though.  It'll be sweet.

Anyway,

That's the low-down of the day.  Along with photos tomorrow, I am planning on telling you how much Jillian killed me.  Because she will.

Weekend Update! {A day behind} Easter!

We had a great Easter Sunday!   Easter has always been my favorite holiday.  I love spring and the colors and little lambs and chicks.  My mom always made a big deal about Easter.  She always made me an Easter Basket, we went to church and then had a fabulous Easter dinner.

And I still like it that way.

This year, my dad was out of town, so my mom came down to our house to celebrate. I was so excited and I wanted our table to turn out cute, so I made a table runner and decorated it with some centerpieces

{I just bought that blue vase, and I'm ridiculously excited about it}
{and where did that blue candle come from?  That wasn't supposed to be there!}

Our spread was FABULOUS! Honey Baked Ham, Salad with Strawberries, Oranges, cranberries, nuts and poppyseed dressing, rolls, stuffed mushrooms, cheesy potatoes, and asparagus.  I was SO full by the end, and then there was Pie!

Yoshi wanted ham.  So bad, in fact, he cried about it.
{He got some later}

My Mama even made us an Easter basket!  I forgot to get a picture, but it had jelly beans, salt water taffy, marshmallow eggs {my fave}, a movie, whole wheat pancake mix, and Yo-Yo's!  I love my mama. :)

All in all, Easter was great fun!  I am glad I get to share it with you too!

Nah-Nah! It's Photo Time!

Like I promised yesterday, today we have ZION'S PHOTOS!!!!

I am very excited about this!

These are {quite} a few of our favorites.

The first bunch were all taken by Nick!  :)

 Its cute how much he likes taking pictures of me  :)\

Karl Throwing rocks in the little river thingy.  He quite enjoyed it!

Completely random, and all kinds of fun

This picture kills me.  Everytime I see it.  I guess you just have to know Joel.

NAH-NAH!  Nick is a great photographer, way better than me!  He didn't have time to edit all the good ones, so there will be more, eventually!

The following photos are from my camera:

I thought this was the top of Angel's Landing when I stood here.....HA. No.  Mostly kind of a little bit close though!

 This! This was the view from the top! And what a glorious view it was!

Nick likes to stand on big rocks and look at stuff.

This is near Checkerboard Mesa, where the boys found some snow melting.  They decided to build a dam, and then break it to watch the water gush down the side of the mountain.  ....boys.....  :)

These chipmunks followed us everywhere!  They knew Nick was a softee for giving handouts.

Breaking the Dam.

That's the road down there!  1,000 foot cliffs are amazing!

This is my favorite shot of the whole trip.
{Joel doesn't like his picture taken}

See?

This final sequence is Joel's reaction to Nick and Karl throwing snowballs at him.
I kinda like it.
